![]() Cut desired number of flaps on a paper plate. Fold the flaps back as shown. Write a word ending on each flap. Secure this plate to another paper plate using a paper brad. The flaps make windows where you can write different consonants, or blends, etc. By turning the 'wheel' the student can make a list of words. This is great for a student to do for extra credit after completing his current assignment. I make several of these and sometimes when we have a few minutes we have board races or contests, etc. I also make them available for use during free time. Students have even asked if they could check them out and take them home.
