HOST A POG-A-THON

Remember Pogs? Well, dig 'em out for another fun learning game. But first, give each student a circle on which they are to draw the face for their pog-a-pillar. Staple to wall. Then use 24 pogs to make a learning set. Write math facts (or whatever you want to work on) on 12 of the pogs. Write the answers on the remaining 12 pogs. Now stack them up, use your favorite 'slammer' and let the pog-a-thon commence!

RULES: We don't throw the slammer. We simply position the slammer off the top of the stack and flip down, causing the stack to tumble, exposing some pogs face down and some with facts and answers face-up. Player matches facts and answers from the exposed pogs. For each correct match, present the student with a small circle. These small circles become body parts of his pog-a-pillar. The students love seeing their pog-a-pillars grow.
